Hi, just wondering if anyone has read any good zombie books? I never have but am interested in doing so. Any recommendations?

Reading 'Plague of The Dead - The Morningstar Strain' By Z A Recht at the moment. apparently its the first in a trilogy. My son read it and rates it very high. It is a good read..(about a third of my way in).

Thanks for the info dave. I started World War Z. Its kind of a political look at how different people from all over the world deal with an outbreak. The author(Mel Brooks son) did a lot of homework apparently. Its good but I need some more action and accounts of survival.

I read WWZ last year, and also his (Max Brooks) Zombie Survival Guide (brilliant) WWZ is apparently in post production as a movie.

I saw reviews of the survival guide but wasn't sure if I'd get into it. Is it just details on exactly what to do in case of zombies?

It is, but the layout and general 'feel' of the book takes it beyond just a 'Survival Guide' It is written as though Zombies are an accepted part of the reality. Almost like an alternate reality.
Oh, and sorry for not posting sooner.

No prob Dave, thanks for the info. I think I'm going to get Day by Day: Armageddon by J.L. Bourne. It got a lot of good reviews.

I wish I could invest that sort of time into books. I enjoy them but these damn computers keep drawing me away. I'll add that book to my list though. It's supposed to be good I take it?
